COA Interpretation Guide

How to read a Certificate of Analysis: batch number, purity, methodology and retest date.

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents the analytical results obtained for a specific batch of reference material. The batch number uniquely identifies the manufacturing lot. Purity is the area-percent at the principal peak under the specified analytical method. Test date and retest date define the validity window. Recalled or expired status invalidates the batch. Always verify the batch number on the container against the COA published on the supplier's batch verification portal.
